PBFD — Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease
PBFD is a viral disease caused by Beak and Feather Disease Virus (BFDV) that affects feather development, beak structure, and the immune system in psittacine birds.
Avian Bornavirus / PDD
Avian Bornavirus is associated with Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD), a serious condition affecting the nervous system and digestive tract.
Psittacosis (Chlamydia psittaci)
Psittacosis is a bacterial disease caused by Chlamydia psittaci. It can infect birds and humans (zoonotic).
Avian Polyomavirus
A viral disease most dangerous to young, unweaned psittacines.
Avian Influenza
Influenza A viruses that infect birds. Some strains are highly pathogenic (HPAI).
Aspergillosis
A fungal disease caused by Aspergillus species, commonly affecting the respiratory system.
